Mark Steffan’s vision as
founder of the TLP Institute is to help people to find optimum
happiness in their current life, no matter what situation they
were in. He knew that this was difficult for most people,
since they concentrate on the problem, rather than the
solution. Believing that people didn’t need to continue to
struggle, Mark created a way in which people develop goals and
then instigate a life plan to fulfill these goals. This was
the cornerstone on which the TLP Institute was built.
Lisa Mascaro joined Mark in the
formation of the TLP Institute when she recognized people need
to live to their fullest potential and live authentically. She
saw people stuck in their rut and not knowing how to break out
of it. She believes that every problem has a working solution
and if you change the mind set you are presently in, you can
solve it.
Together, Mark and Lisa
produced an in depth, online course that you can do at your
own pace. This online course touches on finances,
relationships, careers, spirituality, and health to name a
few. Within this course are verbal motivations and action
steps that help you on your every day journey to excellence.
You can spend more time on more challenging areas, and skim
over the areas that you are doing well. We stress that the
journey of life is continuous, for what is a challenge today,
may not be a challenge next week or next year. You can go back
and take the course again and again, each time focusing on the
areas you where you need improvement. We remind you of the
importance of living one day at a time, and being fully
present in each moment of your life.
Our most recent development
is that of
certifying individuals in the
competency of coaching the TLP method. Believing that the TLP
method creates more authentic and goal oriented people and the
best way to spread the word is to have others teach (consult)
in this manner. We also believe that all major coaching
modalities are effective we are certifying existing coaches
and counselors for practically no cost. Not wanting to leave
out those that are interested in coaching but have yet elected
to join our field, we have created a week long, intensive
coaching school. Check out our

In our various forums, we
discuss all areas of your life and have you pinpoint the areas
you seek to change. People begin with one area, and readily
start to see how each area is linked to another. Life is
constant and ever changing so our programs are designed with
that in mind. We can format our
retreats and our workshops to
fit your particular criteria.
Everyone learns in different
ways. Thus, we have devised retreats, workshops,
one on one coaching and an
online course. You can
scratch the surface, or delve depth into your life to create
the change necessary to have optimum joy. Most people wait
their whole life to retire and be happy “someday when.” But
"someday when" never happens! We believe in the power of the
