PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:

Located on Maui's North shore, Hale Akua Shangri La is a sight to behold. Our private, two acre, landscaped facility, can accommodate groups of up to twenty-four persons. It can provide the perfect backdrop for those facilitators needing a quiet, relaxed and healing environment in which to work. The arrangement of our facility permits groups to spread out into private break-out sessions or gather in our spacious 700 sq foot meeting room with two skylights, carpeted floor and vaulted ceiling.

Shared kitchen and dining facilities in both the Cabana Building and Main House make it easy to coordinate breakfast, lunch and diner for your group. Our kitchens are vegetarian. However, it is ok to prepare fish.


As a full service retreat center, we can arrange for group tours of the island, catering and audio visual requirements. As a special treat, your guests can choose from numerous services such as massage or private or group yoga classes, to name only a few. Main House

Grand View Suite (formerly Master Bedroom)
A large, airy room with vaulted ceiling and adjoining master bath with sunken tub, shower and long vanity. Both bath and bedroom have a spectacular, unobstructed ocean view. On the west wall, glass doors open to a private lanai planted with tropical plants. On the east wall, glass doors open to a lanai overlooking the ocean. Guests can watch a spectacular sunrise over the ocean from the comfort of either their king size bed or spacious shower.

Moonbow Room formerly Library Room)
This space is located upstairs, in the main house. It is a comfortable room with queen-size bed, bookcases and view of front garden area. It is conveniently located near a shared kitchen, half and full baths. If requested, a twin futon can be placed on the floor. This room can accommodate one couple or two singles.

Cost: $90/day $567/wk

Ocean Vista Room
This is a two story space. The upstairs loft can sleep one. The downstairs space has a queen size bed and room for a twin futon if needed. A private bath is located downstairs. There is a private lanai off the downstairs area overlooking the ocean.

Dolphin Room
Upstairs, balcony with crater and ocean view. Queen Size Bed

Gazebo
This is a delightfully cozy, secluded 8-sided sky lit studio cottage, with full bath, queen size bed and private landscaped lanai. Located conveniently to large shared kitchen and hot tub.

Cabana Rainbow Room (Cabana Loft)
Above Cabana Garden Room, with balcony, full bath. Pool, garden and ocean views. This space can accommodate two singles or one couple. It has one queen size bed and a twin futon on floor.

Cabana Garden Room ( formerly Cabana Rear)
Airy and spacious, with balcony, full bath. Pool and garden views. This space can accommodate two singles or one couple. It has a queen size bed and if requested, we can place a twin futon on floor.

Cabana Lotus Suite (formerly Cabana Front)
This spacious suite is a 2-story unit with upstairs bedroom, balcony, and full bath. Ocean, pool, and garden views. It is ideal for families or two couples. A spectacular spiral stair case connects the lower unit with the upstairs bedroom. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed. The down stairs, living room area has a foldout queen size futon couch and twin futon mattress. This suite can accommodate two couples or three to four singles.

Pond Room
This is a cozy room that overlooks the koi pond and bamboo trees. It is adjacent to the pool. A shared half bath is conveniently located directly across from this unit.

Cost: $68/day $427/wk

Poolside Room
This is a cozy room with double bed, over looks the pool. A shared half bath is conveniently located directly across from this unit.

Cabana House Can accommodate 6 making total capacity 30 at Hale Akua

These gorgeous, up-scale accommodations are set in Maui's lush North Shore. Rugged cliffs border manicured tropical landscaping, and afford fabulous coast-line and ocean views.

Perfect for couples who are looking for a luxurious escape into the arms of Mother nature, or for groups of up to 6 persons.

Next-door is a popular Retreat Center, whose facilities include an ozonated swimming pool, hot-tub, and complimentary yoga class, to which you are welcome if there is no workshop happening at the time of your stay.
