Can you find something new and exciting in your existing work?
What could you do better at your present job? What potential could you realize by
staying away from the water cooler and all the negative talk that is usually associated with that talk?
Today, write down what you see yourself doing in the next year, 5 years and 10
years for your career.
What other areas of interest do you have, that may fulfill you? What would it
take to achieve that?
Are you willing to do what it takes to change? What roadblocks do you have in
the way, blocking your success? How can you remove those roadblocks?
Find a quiet space. Write a scenario of you, looking at yourself when you are 85
years old, after having worked in your present career for the next 20+ years. What are you saying to yourself about what you have
spent your life doing? How do you feel about it? What would you advise yourself to do if you could change?
The very first thing that comes to mind when writing about what action steps to
create for the job category is when I had no idea of what I wanted to do for work when I was young. Even though the most frequently
asked question by all the adults I encountered was what did I want to do for work. This is why I will have you assess your career
possibilities with our aptitude testing partner MAPP.
