You only live once-but
if you work it right,
once is enough
Joe E. Lewis

Listening to your heart
is not simple. Finding
out who you are is not simple. It takes a lot of hard work and courage to get to know who you are and what you want Sue Bender

Often people attempt
to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you really want. Margaret Young

Module # 1 - Authenticity - Action Steps

FINDING THE AUTHENTIC YOU

The first thing you need to do is to print out these questions.  Next, get a journal, or a pad of paper that you can keep to refer back to.  Then we want you to go out into nature, (i.e. your backyard, a park, botanical gardens, the beach, the mountains, a lake, etc.) and take time to ponder and answer these following questions.

Who are you?  What is your mission in life?

If you take away all the material things in your life, describe who you are and what is your mission in life?

Are you living the life you truly desire? If not, why not? Explain:

Time is a precious commodity.  We don't have time to waste living our lives for someone else.  Now is the time to live the authentic you.  If you are searching for who you are, ask yourself these few questions and see if you can delve into the authentic you.

What do I like doing on my day off if I could do anything with no money or time restrictions?

What excites me about life?

Who do I like spending the most time with?

If I were to choose a career, would I do it if I didn't get paid for it?

What are some of your happiest moments?

What brings you joy?

What makes you sad?

What would I change in my life if I could?

Now describe the authentic you.  Who you are without the restraints of
people, places and things?

Most people spend their entire life living, without finding out who they really are.  Many people on their deathbed are asked, "What regrets do you have, and what would you do or say different."  The answers usually are, "I would spend time with my family, I would forgive my friend, I would have traveled more, and I would have had more fun....”.

Now ask yourself, if you were to die in the next 3 months, what would do if you could live any way that you wanted?

What is stopping you from accomplishing your goals, dreams, and secret desires?

Are you willing to do what it takes to accomplish these things?  Why, or why not?
