Participating in your community is a valuable part of your life. We all live in some sort of
community, unless we are a hermit. Within each community in which we live, we have organizations that help us to participate in each
community. We have civic organizations, charity organizations, business organizations, churches, school, etc. You get the
picture. In each community, people interact with others that have a common interest. We are social beings and gain a certain sense
of self by those with whom we surround ourselves with. It is important to realize that our community can either contribute to or
contaminate our lives. What we need to evaluate is what is helpful to us and our goals, and what is not.
Each community has some sort of benefit in our lives. You are naturally in a community by the
vary nature of living somewhere. You choose where you live by the desire to live a certain way, or by what you can afford at that
moment. A spiritual community will feed your soul and service others within its community. A business organization helps people to
mastermind or to network for your business needs. Civic organizations within your community (i.e. Rotary, Lion's Club, Elks) are
important service groups that are not only for networking, also aid your city with all types of fundraisers or service projects.
And our communities of friends are people we choose to spend our free time with
and share common interests or hobbies. |
